Overview

Grim is an ongoing project aimed at maintaining my continual growth as a gameplay programmer. Here I am creating the basic RPG-style gameplay loop from quests and combat to rewards. I am hoping to finish the currently-planned gameplay additions and then implement a basic version of online multiplayer.


Current State

Grim currently has first iterations of the following RPG gameplay systems, which make up the common RPG loop:

  • Player Inventory, Gear & Stats
  • Quests & Quest Logs
  • Basic Melee Combat
  • Tab-Targeting
  • First & Third-person camera modes
  • Vendors
  • Loot


Known Issues & Notes

  • You cannot turn-in / complete quests
  • There is  an issue with the damage interrupt mechanics with the summoner when dealt with Bel's Hand's (red axe) bleed effect.
  • Quest giver / log text issue. Closing the log or quest and trying again fixes it.
  • Camera snap-back issue after clearing target
